Today, El Paso County Sheriff Joseph Roybal administered the oath of office to 30 POST Certified El Paso County Deputies, two Teller County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, one Fremont County Sheriff's Office Deputy and one Fairplay Police Department Officer during the 24-1 Graduation Ceremony at Trace

“This incident highlights the potentially deadly consequences of using Fentanyl. Without the quick and decisive actions of Deputy Klein and the medical staff at the El Paso County Jail, this individual would likely have died.

On July 2nd, 2024, the Colorado Springs Police Department arrested 49-year-old Edward Davidson on an outstanding warrant and transported him to the El Paso County Jail.
