Sheriff's Office Looking for Assistance in Identifying Suspect in Kidnapping and Sex Assault Case

Dec 6, 2018 - 9:30am

On December 5, 2018, at approximately 1:45 PM, deputies were dispatched to the Walmart located at 11550 Meridian Market View, in unincorporated El Paso County for a report of a stranger Kidnapping and Sexual Assault.

The victim exited the store and loaded groceries into her vehicle.  As she returned the cart, the suspect walked towards her unlocked vehicle and entered the rear passenger door.  When the victim returned to her vehicle, the suspect held her at gunpoint with a handgun, and told her to drive.

The suspect directed her from the parking lot to a remote location, where he sexually assaulted her.  He forced the victim to drive back towards the Walmart where he made her park behind the store.

The suspect then walked back to his vehicle.  It is possible he attempted to contact another female and tried to get into her vehicle, just prior to this event.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic or White male in his 20’s, 5'08" with medium build, a round “boyish” face, clean shaven, no tattoos or piercings were visible, wearing dark clothing and a brown belt with keys hanging from it.

The suspect vehicle is described as an older model dark, colored SUV

Surveillance photos of the vehicle and suspect are attached to this media release.  If you are able to identify the suspect or are the victim of a similar incident, please contact Detective Brklich at (719) 520-7229 or NickolasBrklich@elpasoco.com.
