Tonight at 6:00 PM, the Sheriff's Office will hold a 17-1 Basic Law Enforcement Academy Graduation at Village Seven Presbyterian Church located at 4040 Nonchalant Circle South.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office strives to prepare deputies for service to the community through a comprehensive, cooperative, efficient, and effective training program.  This is accomplished by using modern training methods, technology, equipment and sites.  We operate a Colorado Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) approved Basic Law Enforcement Academy. 

This 19 week Academy includes:

600 hours of Academic Training
62 hours of Arrest Control
44 hours of Driving
64 hours of Firearms
