Undersheriff Jeff Kramer
Jeff is a native of Colorado Springs and comes from a law enforcement family. Both his father and uncle are retirees from the Colorado Springs Police Department. Jeff’s law enforcement career began in the U.S. Army where he served as a Military Police Officer from 1992-1997.
Jeff started with the Sheriff’s Office in March 1997, has served at every rank, and has considered it a privilege to have held many different assignments. Some of those assignments have included patrol, traffic, investigations, K9, Crime Reduction Unit, Public Information Officer, SWAT, Professional Standards, and the Detention Bureau. His time spent as the PIO was when our community experienced both the Waldo Canyon and Black Forest Fires, as well as the tragic murder of Department of Corrections Chief, Tom Clements. Some of his recent assignments have been as the Patrol Division Commander and Detention Bureau Chief; Jeff was appointed to the position of Undersheriff at the onset of Sheriff Roybal’s administration.
Jeff is married, and between his wife Julie Ann and him, they have 6 children and 8 grandkids; no kids at home unless you count their dogs Gunner and Scout. Jeff enjoys time with Julie Ann and family when away from work. He spends time outdoors and appreciates fitness.
Jeff is a graduate of the 268th session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
