On February 5, 2023, at around 12:50 a.m., numerous 911 calls were received by the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Communications Center on reports of hearing multiple shots fired.

On July 7, 2023, at approximately 5:00 p.m., El Paso County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a robbery at The State Bank on McLaughlin Road in Unincorporated El Paso County.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office is now accepting applications. The Citizens' Academy will begin on Tuesday, September 5th, 2023, and will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

On June 30, 2023, after an in-depth investigation by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, Devon Bobian was arrested on second degree felony murder charges, for the death of Fountain Police Officer Julian Becerra.

In the early morning hours of July 11, 2023, just after midnight, officers with the Manitou Springs Police Department stopped a vehicle in the area of Colorado Avenue and Ridge Road.

In the early morning hours of July 7th, 2023, just after 3am, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an address in the 4000 block of Witches Hollow Lane in the Security/Widefield area of unincorporated El Paso County due to a report of shots fired in the area.  

In the early morning hours of Thursday, July 6th, 2023, just before 3:30am, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Communications Section received a 911 call from a resident at a home in the 600 block of Catalina Drive who reported a stabbing at that location.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office has not issued a fire ban for unincorporated El Paso County. Nor has the Board of County Commissioners issued a firework ban. 

June 11, 2023, marks the ten-year anniversary of the tragic Black Forest Fire.  Several agencies collaborated with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office to investigate the fire; amongst these agencies were the U.S.

On October 24, 2022, deputies from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an employee of Pikes Peak Christian Church was committing fraud, theft, and other related offenses in her capacity as the Financial Director of the church.
