On September 25, 2021, at approximately 12:03 AM, a medical emergency was declared in a male housing ward at the El Paso County Jail. 

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is asking for the public’s assistance locating Jane Mudder. Jane is described as a 57-year-old white female, 5’6”, 122 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She has a dream catcher tattoo on her right arm.

On July 4, 2021, at approximately 6:07 p.m., our Communications Center received a report of a missing 55-year-old woman, Sara Bayard. 

The reporting party said she last spoke to her on June 27, 2021. 

On September 27, 2021, at around 8:00 PM, an adult male inmate at the El Paso County Jail was found unresponsive during a routine welfare check.  Deputies and jail medical staff began lifesaving efforts.  These efforts were, unfortunately, not effective.  Preliminary investigation revealed noth

On September 15, 2021, at approximately 10:30 a.m., our assigned Falcon High School Resource Officer (deputy) was notified by the Falcon High School Administrators of a possible hazing incident. The school is located in the 10000 block of Lambert Road, in unincorporated El Paso County. 

On September 14, 2021, at approximately 6:07 p.m., our Communications center received a report of a missing 25-year-old woman, Angelita Godinez. 

The reporting party said she last spoke to her on September 5, 2021. 

On September 18, 2021, at 4:21 p.m., the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office received multiple calls reporting a shooting in the area of Widefield High School.

On September 17, 2021, at approximately 2:47 AM, Colorado Springs Police Department Communications Center received a 911 call of a shooting that occurred in the 7100 block of Omaha Boulevard, which is located in Unincorporated El Paso County.

On September 14, 2021, at approximately 2:41 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 130 block of Kokomo Street, in Unincorporated El Paso County, in reference to a Domestic Violence call reported by witnesses. At the same time a male arrived at the UC Health ER in Fountain with a stab wound.

August 2021, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Special Victims Unit (SVU) began an investigation on a Sexual Assault case. The suspect in this case has been identified as, 31-year-old, Roger Brandon Abeyta. 

As was previously reported, on September 5th, 2021, at around 2:40 PM, a swimmer at the Rampart Reservoir went missing.  EPSO deputies, El Paso County Search and Rescue, and the Colorado Springs Fire Department dive team responded and began attempts to rescue the swimmer.  Later that evening th

On August 25, 2021, at approximately 4:57 PM, multiple callers called 911 to report a woman being drug out of a black SUV (sport utility vehicle) by a man with a gun at a drive-thru restaurant located in the 300 block of Main Street.

On July 8, 2021, at around 4:32 AM, a vehicle was stolen from a home in the 1100 block of Autumn Star Point in unincorporated El Paso County.  Video surveillance retrieved during our investigation captured the following suspect and suspect vehicle descriptions:  

On Sunday, August 22, 2021, at approximately 10:49 PM, The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a report of a disturbance in the 11000 block of Fawn Lane. Upon arrival, deputies located one deceased individual.

On July 24, 2021, at approximately 11:57 PM, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division received a phone call from the Manitou Springs Police Department requesting assistance in conducting a death investigation at a hotel located in the 100 block of Manitou Avenue.

In accordance with Colorado law, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has been notified that William Nichols Stewart will be moving into the community and is registered at 40250 Hoot Owl Road, Ramah, CO 80832, located in the jurisdiction of the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is asking residents to participate in its upcoming survey. The survey is designed to provide a baseline of resident satisfaction with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office services and to make comparisons with communities across the nation.

Upon arriving on scene, deputies discovered a deceased adult male.

On July 28, 2021, at around 6:40 PM, the EPSO Communications Center received a report of a menacing with a gun that just occurred at the Rivon Gas & Convenience Store located at 4140 South Highway 85/87, in unincorporated El Paso County.  

The Sheriff's Office Citizens Academy will begin on Thursday, September 9, 2021. This Academy consists of one night per week classes culminating in a graduation on Wednesday November 10, 2021.

On July 26, 2021, at approximately 4:20 PM, our Communications Center received a call from a family member reporting, 82-year-old, Frances Vialpando as missing from the 13000 block of West Ravine Drive. Information gathered indicated Ms. Vialpando as a missing and endangered adult.
