On July 26, 2018, at approximately 9:30 am, El Paso County Rural Enforcement Outreach Unit, Pikes Peak Humane Society and the Bureau of Animal Protection (BAP) executed a search warrant at an address in the 4100 block of Ramah Hwy regarding an ongoing animal neglect investigation.

On Sunday, July 22, 2018, at approximately 6:45 AM, the Sheriff's Office received a call of a shooting. Deputies responded to a local hospital where they learned a victim was shot and another was deceased in the 12,000 block of Highway 94.
