The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has recently launched a Community Video Partnership program.  Video cameras are one of the best methods for detecting and apprehending criminals.

On October 5, 2017, at approximately 7:00 pm, suspects broke the rear window of a vehicle in the 13000 block of Ashbrook Heights in El Paso County.  The suspects stole a wallet, including credit cards and a driver’s license.

On October 24, 2017, a 72-year-old male in custody at the El Paso County Jail was found unresponsive in his cell at approximately 0500 hours.  Lifesaving efforts were conducted both by in- house personnel and medical first responders.  They were unable to resuscitate the male and he was pronoun

Update - Sheriff's Office Looking for Vehicular Eluding Suspect 

On October 20, 2017, at approximately 12:38 am, deputies were on a patrol check in the Fox Run Regional Park, located at 2110 Stella Dr.  Deputies attempted to contact a male and female in a blue Ford Explorer who were in the park after hours.

On October 12, 2017, at approximately 11:30 PM, three suspects exited out of an employee only door at the King Soopers located at 7915 Constitution Avenue in Colorado Springs, CO.  The suspects took three shopping carts full of merchandise without paying, totaling almost $1,600.

On September 19, 2017, at approximately 2:44 AM, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office attempted a traffic stop on a pick-up truck in the Security/ Widefield area. The truck failed to yield to deputies and a short pursuit was initiated. That pursuit was terminated due to high speeds.

Update on Mount Herman Road Homicide

On Saturday, September 16, 2017, at approximately 5:00 PM, deputies responded to the base of Mount Herman Road in reference to a missing person. Palmer Lake Police had taken a case for the missing person earlier in the day.
