The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting volunteer applications for the following volunteer positions:

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in “No Shave November” in support of Special Olympics Colorado.  Deputies are authorized to grow a goatee during the months of November and December 2016.

On October 19, 2016, Deputies observed a vehicle stopped in the middle of the roadway on Glenwood Drive at Cambridge Avenue. Deputies approached the vehicle and the contacted occupants.

A Deputy spoke with the driver and another Deputy contacted the suspect outside of the vehicle.

On October 7, 2016, the Sheriff's Office School Resource Officer assigned to Falcon High School learned of a threat circulating on social media stating instructions must be followed or teachers, students, principals and even guests would be killed on October 31, 2016.

On Saturday, October 22, 2016, at approximately 11:10 PM, the Sheriff's Office Dispatch Center received a call regarding a shooting in the 4900 block of Brant Road in the Security area.

In our first year participating in the Pink Patch Project, the Sheriff's Office has raised $5,000 for Breast Cancer Awareness.   The patches were purchased by the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), Lodge 9.

The Sheriff's Office is looking for assistance in identifying two suspects being sought in connection to eight Identity Theft cases that occurred in July 2016, in the Colorado Springs area using cloned cards in the name of “Junior C. Pena.”

The Sheriff's Office is in the process of upgrading our Video Visitation system.  Due to these upgrades, there will be the temporary suspension of visitation for individual wards.  Below is the schedule of dates and the ward that will be affected.
