On August 6, 2015, at approximately 8:55 AM, a fraudulent purchase was made with a stolen credit card  at the Walmart located at 4425 Venetucci Boulevard in Colorado Springs. A single charge for $564.88 was made, and a second attempt for $235.27 was denied.

On Saturday, July 16, 2016, the Sheriff's Office took a report for missing juvenile runaway, Alexis Brown DOB: 11/10/2000. She was last seen on Saturday, July 16, 2016, around Peterson Road and Constitution Avenue where she resides.  It is likely she may be in the Pueblo area.

The Sheriff's Office has received intelligence of another scam.  In these new cases the caller is asking for money for unpaid school tuition or back taxes using the Sheriff’s Office phone number 719-390-2000.  The caller threatens an arrest warrant will be issued if the money owed is not paid.
